Digital intraoral scanning
Our practice was the first in Greece to acquire the leading innovative Trios intraoral scanner by 3Shape in 2016. Dr Gidarakou was selected as the first Greek Orthodontic 3Shape international KOL and speaker and has thus lectured on Digital Orthodontics in numerous seminars and conferences in Greece and abroad. By digitally scanning the dental arches, instead of using the conventional dental impressions, high accuracy is guaranteed, multidisciplinary treatment and communication between doctors and patients is enhanced, while continuous treatment monitoring is another added value.

Our clinic is equipped with the cutting-edge Planmeca digital x-ray apparatus for panoramic and lateral cephalogram radiographs. Our digital radiographs are characterized by the highest possible accuracy and lowest possible radiation dose as they are always being calibrated for each and every one of our patients.

Our doctor has successfully completed the Post-doctoral Training Program in Dentoalveolar Surgery, Implant Surgery and Dental Radiology at the Dental School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki entitled “Radioprotection, Radiology Techniques and Diagnostics”.
Our x-ray machine is inspected and calibrated annually by a certified medical physicist to ensure the highest standard of function, while the initial certification was granted by the Helllenic Committee of Atomic Energy and is renewed every 5 years.

All our orthodontic treatments are absolutely individualized: digital photographs, digital radiographs and digital impressions are all essential elements in our initial record and treatment planning procedures. Based on all this information and with the utilization of digital means the proposed treatment plan is easily understood by our patients and/or parents. In this way we guarantee an optimum final aesthetic and functional result while at the same time we explore with our patients all the possible alternative options and procedures.

Invisalign Treatment
Dr Gidarakou is among the first Invisalign certified orthodontists in the world, (certification in the U.S.A in 2001) while she also holds an International Speaker Status since 2018. Numerous children, adolescents and adults have been treated in our practices with the absolutely aesthetic Invisalign clear aligners. The digital individualized ClinCheck treatment plan along with the use of our intraoral scanner and our vast knowledge of the technique are the warranty for the most positive patient experience.
